1. WILLIAM1 CURRY Sr., was born at Cork, Ireland, in about 1789/90 and he died at Monroe County, Michigan, on 10 March 1858. He married in Ireland in about 1806, ANN ---. She was born in Ireland in about 1787/90 and died in Michigan, on 29 September 1870. Both William and Ann Curry were buried at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, located on Welch Road in Milan Township, Monroe County, Michigan.
Notes for William Curry:
William CURRY, Sr. came to the United States between 1830 and 1831. It is not clear as to which of his children accompained him, but it appears it would have been all except the eldest Mary, and the two youngest, Mary Ann and Thomas, who were born in New York. Mary had married James McManus in Ireland about 1828/29, and according to her children's birth records, came to New York about 1839/40. This is probably a few years after William left Ireland for the United States. The obituary for William's son Patrick states that Patrick "came to the United States when 20 years old, located in New York where he remained for 15 years, then came west as far as Milan Township and from there to Ridgeway." Patrick's obituary and death record indicate that he was born in 1823. That would mean he came to New York in 1843, stayed until 1858, when he left for Michigan. These dates do not match the census records as he is clearly in Michigan in 1850. Perhaps the "20 years old" refers to his age at the time he came to Michigan (1843), not his age when he came to America. There are indications from the obituary and death certificate of William's youngest son Thomas, that William, Sr. lived in the vicinity of Rome, Oneida County, New York after his arrival in the United States.

2. MARY2 CURRY (William1), was born in Ireland about 1807, and she died at Milan Township, Monroe County, Michigan, on 20 March 1870. She married, JAMES MCMANUS, born in Ireland in about 1793/96. She died at Milan Township on 19 November 1857.
Notes for James McManus:
Among early Irish immigrants to Boston was Thomas McManus born 1761, a native of Dromore, County Tyrone, Ulster, Ireland. The Irish in New England, Boston, Mass., NEHGS, 1985; page 11, Sources of Irish-American Genealogy in New England, by Marie E. Daly. It is not known where in Ireland James McManus was born, but the McManus family may have originated in County Tyrone.

He married at Tecumseh, Lenawee County, Michigan, on 24 December 1854, CATHERINE JANE EMMONS, born at Macon Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, in 1835, the daughter of Jacob and Rebecca (Covert) Emmons. She died at Milan Township on 19 April 1907.

10. THOMAS2 CURRY (William1), was born at the Town of Rome or Greece, Oneida or Monroe Counties, New York, on 26 September 1836 and he died at Scipio, Kansas, on 4 November 1879. He married in 1857, SUSAN MARGARET PRESTON, born at Rome, New York, in about 1836. She died at Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas, on 16 December 1918.

11. ROSANA3 McMANUS(Mary 2 Curry, William1), was born in Ireland on 18 October 1829, and she died at Milan Township, Monroe County, Michigan on 28 March 1903. She married in about 1852, JOHN B. 13. ANNE3 McMANUS (Mary2 Curry, William1), was born in Ireland in 1836, and died at Milan Township, Monroe County, Michigan, on 29 March 1911. She married first at Milan Township on 26 August 1853, JAMES KNOWLES, born at Ballyadams, Townland Crissard, County Laois, Ireland, in June 1830, the son of Patrick and Bridget (Doherty) Knowles. He died at Milan Township on 20 August 1856. She married second in Michigan after 1856, ANDREW JACKSON St GEORGE, born on Shipboard crossing the Atlantic Ocean in 1838, the son of Edward St. George. He died at Medina, Orleans County, New York, in 1925. Anne, James and Andrew were buried at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Milan Township.

33. CORA ANNE3 CURRY(William2, William 1), was born at Milan Township, Monroe County, Michigan, on 17 February 1858, and she died at Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, on 16 December 1916. She married in about 1877, HORACE CORNELIUS CONE, born at Milan Township on 4 January 1856, the son of John Cornelius and Jane (Reynolds) Cone. He died at Highland Park, Wayne County, Michigan, on 14 May 1932.
